Meet The Dorr Capital Team
Brian began his professional career in real estate finance in 1993. He is the firms' Principal Broker. Brian spent his first 11 years at Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) where, along with earning progressively senior positions, he was responsible for underwriting, default management, mortgage portfolio administration and arranging financing for Assisted Housing Projects in difficulty.
Since 2004, Brian has advised and completed complex financing for Developers and Real Estate Investors. He has held senior positions at Canada ICI, MCAP (Caisse Depôt de placement de Québec), Quest Capital and Cameron Stephens Mortgage Capital. One of his key success factors remains the many strong relationships he has with senior managers in over forty lending institutions and investors active in the Canadian real estate marketplace.
Brian holds an MBA from Niagara University in Lewiston, New York, is a Certified Management Accountant (CMA) and maintains a Certified Property Management Designation (CPM).

Riccardo has substantial experience in real estate finance, and for the last eight years has worked for a mortgage investment corporation, pension fund, private developer, and most recently Infrastructure Ontario in their loan program. To date, Riccardo has structured and underwritten over $1.3 billion in debt opportunities in both construction and income generating properties across all major real estate asset classes. Aside from real estate, Riccardo has an astute understanding of infrastructure projects such as power generation and distribution. In addition to structuring and underwriting real estate and infrastructure lending projects, Riccardo was part of the evaluation team for recommendation of the Pan/Parapan AM Games Athletes Village Affordable Housing Facilities project and various government divesture projects. Riccardo holds a BA from York University.

Judy Wong, Vice President Underwriting & Loan Servicing and Agent
Judy joined Dorr and Associates as a Licensed Mortgage Agent in 2011. She has over 14 years of progressive real estate lending experience. Judy has been a key member in her positions held at MCAP, Equivest Capital Corporation and Cameron Stephens Mortgage Capital, structuring, underwriting, and closing multimillion dollar accounts in a broad array of asset and loan types. Judy adds value through her experiences in managing an array of assets and loan types including: residential construction loans, commercial term loans, affordable housing multi-residential construction and term loans and CMHC insured loan applications. Judy has also managed multimillion dollar portfolios consisting of equity loans, mezzanine loans and joint venture loans. Judy holds an Honours Bachelor of Mathematics specializing in Business Administration and Information Systems from the University of Waterloo.

Joe joined Dorr & Associates as Strategic Advisor in 2012 and has been a licensed mortgage broker in Ontario since 1990. His previous experience includes Managing Director Canada at ICI/MCAP Toronto Branch from 2000 – 2005, managing an office of 5 production officers, specializing in CMHC Insured Financing. Assistant Manager for Canada Life Mortgage Services (CLMS Ltd.,) a wholly-owned subsidiary of Canada Life Assurance Company (1980-1990), specializing in CMHC Insured Social Housing Financing. Currently owner and President of Barbieri Capital Group Inc. Joe holds a Masters Degree in Urban Land Use Planning and has completed both the AACI and TREB Course Programs.

Rick Pierce - Senior Advisor and Agent
Rick joined Dorr & Associates in 2012 with 11 years of experience as a mortgage agent.Rick began his career in 1970 with a Chartered Bank in London, Ontario. His career at the Bank spanned 27 years where he held varying positions in both administration and commercial lending, including a Senior Manager position in Advanced Manufacturing and Knowledge Based Industries. While with the Bank's Commercial Banking division, Rick was a 3 time recipient of the General Manager's High Achievement Award presented to the highest achieving commercial account manager in the Ontario District. While completing many real estate financing assignments for Dorr and Associates, Rick still pursues other commercial finance opportunities under the SW Consulting Capital Corporation vehicle. Rick also has previous experience developing strategic plans and business plans for clients and has extensive client and broker contacts throughout Southwestern and Eastern Ontario, including institutional and private mortgage lenders and a number of commercial lenders in the institutional, asset based lending, leasing and hard money sectors.
